This reader is a compilation of eighteen essays written by academics, feminists and scholar-activists from Dalit Feminist Perspective. The editors Sunaina Arya Aakash Singh Rathore, introduces the book theorizing feminism underpinning its ontology epistemology. Critiquing academic discourse which predominantly questions gender inequality on single axis as fight against patriarchy, Rathore pose important question, ‘Why Theory?’. Although dialogue standpoints started during 1990s, core lies in attempting to legitimize Theory due ubiquity caste question Indian society, cannot be overlooked any circumstances.
